Putting template, css and images under mysite

I understand it should be possible to have your "theme" folders in mysite. This would suit me for ease of version control.

However, moving the template/ folder to mysite works fine but the css/ and image/ folders are ignored (no errors - even in debug mode - just not there). Can this be done and if so how?

If I do get it to work, what do I set my theme to?

Answering my own question... should have read the 'requirement' section. Needed to change the 'require themeCSS' 'require css' and the url (mysite/css/layout.css etc)
