Web development in Germany

Does anyone have an idea of what the web industry is like in Germany at the moment? I'm moving over soon and would prefer to seek web development work. I'm a little apprehensive as to what the work climate might be like.

Although I live in Germany, virtually all of my work is still with UK clients so I can't really comment.
