ModelAdmin's scaffolding feature

How do I stop ModelAdmin from preforming its scaffolding feature? I assumed that creating the getCMSFields function would do this, but all it does is duplicate the field entry. Any help would be appreciated.
Edit: Nevermind. Found that i had to name my field FieldNameID instead of just FieldName
