Redirecting the admin Login

Hi there,
I want to change the Silverstripe admin / login url so that http://host.com/admin will send a 404 and users login via http://host.com/example. It seems that back in March 2009 this was quite difficult ( http://silverstripe.org/upgrading-silverstripe/show/5832 ).
Are there any upgrades here? Has Silverstripe 2.4 a fancy $define_login_url config parameter yet?
Can't this be done by editing the rewrite rules?Any hint appreciated
