SS3: URLSegment Not Populating Automatically

Hi,
When creating a new page in SilverStripe 3.0.2, the URL Segment field is using "new-page" instead of the hyphenated version of what I populate the pagename with. Why would this functionality be dropped? This is a huge pain in the neck, obviously.
