After digging around for this myself for hours, I've added a quick tute to my blog. "Customizing your login form" docs seem a little misleading and don't emphasize the role of Authenticators in customizing the login.

Do we need a CustomLoginForm template?
I create a customloginform for group redirect but when I point to Security/login I see any fields..

I had empty CustomLoginform template into include dir...
