adding .html for friendly page names

7 February 2009 at 1:18pm
i am a new user of silver stripe and i was wondering if this is an update or hack to rewrite the urls in such a way that allows you to add an extension to what would be a page name.
example: /about-us/ would become about-us.html
thanks

Just out of curiosity: why would you want that?

Thanks for the reply.
The main reason is that i pref closed url's with the use of page/file extensions.

I too would like to do this to be able to move an old site unto silverstripe. I could rewrite all the urls, but there are thousands and I would rather not do that because I would not want to affect seo rankings or loose backlinks to internal pages. Any help with this would be appreciated by many! Thanks.
