how can i create different pages?

hi guys,
i ve jus started using silverstripe, i want to know the method of creating different pages, ie each page should contain different background, designs etc. and i also want to know wether i can create like home page calls page.ss, so it takes the same as default for all the pages but i want it to be different layout for each page so can i create like about.ss for about us page. -

Yup, that is pretty easy to do. I suggest starting out you go through the first couple of tutorials to show you how the different pages work. Basically you create a new page such as HomePage.php then create a template for it HomePage.ss and it automatically uses the template that has its same name. But yea tutorials will walk you through it.
