Display SS version and pub date with Tutorials

Is it an idea to display the date and version of SS used with the tutorials.
For instance the RandomLinks tutorial seems to have a lot of depricated code for SS 2.3, but I noticed it at the end of the tut, wich made the module not working as it should be.
