I have a site where we set certain pages as editable only by specific editor groups. The only problem is that any new pages added (at the top level) are 'open' for editing by any logged in user.
How can I set the default access for a page to 'Administrators' only. Then we have to specifically set it for editing by other admin groups if required.

I fought with this for a bit and came up with this solution:
Create a nested hierarchy of permissions with the top most being 'web users' that cannot access the admin. Continue to nest your groups by those that need more and more access until the inner most group is your Super Admin group.
Think of it like a series of concentric circles.
