Problems with uploading of JPGs

Hi all,
maybe someone has a solution for me: I have uploaded lots of images already by using "gallery". I am familiar with the formats and everything to do to upload images so far. That's what I thought. I have been trying to upload new images and the system refuses the upload by "file not is not a valid upload". Does anyone have an answer? Thks!
