What's the latest on ModelAdmin and TinyMCE

What's the latest on TinyMCE working in ModelAdmin.
Searching the forums, there are a lot of fix suggestions, and even a patch for 2.3.3

But none of the fixes are working for me. Am I stuck without a TinyMCE in ModelAdmin? Or is there a standard fix for it now?
Hope someone can help.
