Hi guys,

Just taken a look at the DB of a 2.4 SS website I've had for a while. I can see that "page versions" is taking up 500mb of the DB. Are the versions designed to hold every version of a page ever? or am I doing it wrong?

Whats the best way to deal with this? Thanks for any help.

Cheers

I think it is designed to store every version of a page ever so you're not doing anything wrong. I imagine you could trim a lot of the rows from that table without effecting the user experience really, unless your users want to go back a few years in their page history for some reason.

Might be a good case for using a SilverStripe task to clean up the old site tree versions rather than doing it directly on the DB...
