What happens to foreign tables in a SS database?

Hello,
I want to add a ZIP code search to my site. I intend to buy a ZIP/geo code database. To let SS work with it, I would copy the geo code tables to the SS database. Will SS ignore this "foreign" table on a database flush?

I had the courage to try it and aparently nothing odd happened ;)
