Emails for new events?

Hi I have recently used the dataobjectmanager and event calendar on a site, its great!. My client as asked me if it is possible to have new events to be emailed to people who subscribe, is this possible and how easy would it be to create? I'm a designer not developer so help is appreciated.

There's an RSS feed to the calendar. Just set up an account with FeedBurner and enable email notifications. They give you a subscription form to add to your template.
