Hello,

I use SS2.4.1 with dataobject_manager_r414 and swfupload_r401 extensions

Dataobject_manager is used to list files and images in the admin "Files & images" section. It works in a subdirectory of "assets" like in "assets/Uploads". But when i'm in "assets/" root, no files, no list...

If i doesn't use dataObject_manager in the admin "Files & images" (i set DataObjectManager::allow_assets_override(false); in my _config.php), i can see files in assets/ root !

Perhaps a bug ? If not, haw can i do to use DataObject_manager in my "Files & Images" admin section and list files in assets/ root ?

Thanks for your help.

i have the same problem and am banging my head against the wall trying to figure it out...so far, no luck. also, the upload field (regular one, not dataobjectmanager field) is missing...PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
i removed dataobject_manager, swfupload and event calendar, and now everything is ok...this really sucks because i need the event calendar module, but i MUST use the default upload tab and have the file list. if anyone has a way to fix this, please let me know. here is a screenshot of what happens when everything is installed:

and now without the modules:

I see the issue. I'm trying a few things.. The root asset dir isn't actually a folder in the database, so it's kind of a pain. I'm not sure why you'd want to store files at the root level like that..

hi and thanks for the quick response. I hope this issue can be resolved because the event calendar mod is fantastic, and i would love to be able to use it. the most important thing is to have the native upload tab back...
thanks,

heho

same problem here. I never thought to store files directly in assets but if you use the image side-bar on the right hand side in the CMS and also upload images with it, files will be stored with parentID 0 / directly in the assets-directory. With DOM you cannot manage files directly in assets but customers like DOM with uploadify! a solution to manage assets with DOM or a trick how to trigger the image-sidebar to store images in assets/Uploads would be cool.
