Uploadify Error Message (When writing to Assets)

Uncle Cheese:
ever get an error when trying to upload a file to Assets via Files and Images where the upload area turns red and gives an "IO Error"?
Any idea what may be causing this? I checked read/write permissions and all rights are checked. Any thoughts?
