ImageGallery too slow creating new pages on a clean 2.4 install

Issue:
New Image Gallery Pages take to much time to appear in the pages tree after I click the "Go" button. Most of the time, I have to hit F5 to reload the page and see them.Hosting: GoDaddy shared, memory limit: 128M.
Is this normal?
