DOM breaks sort in files and images section

I can't reorder folders in the files and images section. I can drag and drop them, and a sort number is added in the database, but when I refresh the page it reverts back. I tested this on a base install of 2.4.4 and everything worked as expected, then I added DOM #530 and Uploadify #529 and the functionality breaks like my other sites. Any ideas why or how I can fix this?
