Uploadify in nested DOM popup is unusable

I'm trying to use Uploadify in a nested DOM popup, but it's not really usable because it doesn't fit into the popup.
See the following screenshot for an illustration of the problem:
I tried $filemanager->setPopupWidth() to set the popup width to something else.. but that didn't change anything.
What do I have to change in order to get: A) a larger popup-window, or B) a smaller Uploadify formfield?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
