Image Gallery sticks on loading image in IE8

I'm using the image gallery on this site: http://lastingimpressionsar.com/photo-gallery
It works perfectly in every browser except IE8. In IE8, when entering a gallery, it sticks on the loading pin wheel and never loads the gallery. Any ideas as to why this may be happening?
