Automatically set image caption as image title on ImageDataObjectManager

I have an ImageDataObjectManager that is managing some Image DataObjects, which consist of an Image and a Caption field.
Often the caption of the image is just the image's filename, which is converted quite nicely into the images's Title tag, but how can I get my caption field to automatically be set as the Image()->Title tag when adding it via the ImageDataObjectManager?
