User unable to view pictures on ImageGallery page

Brand new install. SS 2.3.1 with modules: Newsletter, DataObjectManager (modules-dataobject_manager-r142.tar.gz), swfupload (modules-swfupload-r145.tar.gz), and ImageGallery (modules-image_gallery-r141.tar.gz).
In CMS, added page as Image Gallery Page type. Named it OurGallery. Uploaded 3 jpg files to the Default Album (no other albums defined) and edited pix adding captions. Did a Save and Publish. On a separate computer using IE 7, navigated to the site. Clicked on OurGallery. See page description but no images. On server (Linux/Apache) the assets/OurGallery exists with a Default-Album directory which contains the 3 jpg files.
How do I get the pix to show up on the site?
