Fatal error: ImageGalleryPage.php on line 268

Hi, I downloaded the newest Version 271 of the image_galary repository and tried to set up up a few Pages of ImageGalayPage - Type next to each other. It's because I need Categories with more than one Album, so I'm not able to use Albums for Categories.
Now when I want to view one of my CAtegories I get the following PHP Error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function updateItems() on a non-object in /var/www/testdrive/htdocs/image_gallery/code/ImageGalleryPage.php on line 268

I get a similar error with 2.3.3 on the same line as well.
Fatal error: Argument 1 passed to ImageGalleryUI::updateItems() must not be null, called in /httpdocs/dev/image_gallery/code/ImageGalleryPage.php on line 268 and defined in /httpdocs/dev/image_gallery/gallery_ui/ImageGalleryUI.php on line 18
