Won't let me purchase something when I am logged in

Hi
When I am in the admin mode, and click 'buy now' on my checkout page, which should take me to paypal, the page just refreshes.
When I am not logged in/someone else tries to buy something, the system works fine.Has anyone else come across this/ideas on how to get around this?
