gift registry?

Hi Just wondering if anyone had any idea on the feasibility of a gift registry functionality within the ecommerce module?

This modification will require some extra development, but definitely possible. I would recommend making it into a submodule (shop_giftregistry).
To do:
* Create model classes for gift registry. One Register has many_many products...or perhaps create a RegistryGift class that relates products to registeries, that way you can add a "Purchased" boolean to indicate the item has been brought. Or perhaps Product_OrderItem could be extended with a Registry has_one to indicate the registry it has been brought for.
* Update registry status on successful order placement
* Controller / Template for displaying registry to users
* Controller / Template for allowing registry owners to create a registry.hope that helps,
