Will shopping with multiple currencies be offered?

I'm working with a client who needs to allow his customers to choose the currency they want to shop in. As far as I can tell SS only offers one currency for shopping purposes. (A single currency can be used across the entire site.) Is this correct or am I missing something? Any chance this will be offered soon?
