Ready for a commercial site?

Hi guys,
Was wondering if you could help. I've implemented a Silverstripe site in the past, and had great results. I've been asked to look at a site with e-commerce and was hoping that you could give me a 'current status' for this e-commerce module. Specifically:
a) Any known security issues and work-around's
b) Any 'real' sites that have implemented it successfully (and who the dev was)
c) When it might reach version 1.0?
d) Any other issues you think are relevant
