Delayed shopping cart update

OK i have ecommerce up and running, all is well except-
When i add, delete or change the number of items in the shopping cart nothing happpens strait away, if i hit refresh or flush nothing happens unless i wait around 10 seconds, then a refresh will show the changes to the items in shopping cart.
Something to do with the jscript?? Should i add a pause and refresh? that is a bit ugly but would sort of work.

Turns out I dont get this error in IE, just FireFox.
I have emtied the cache and cookies, didnt fix it.

Problem solved, it was the skype extensions add-on for Firefox causing the error.
