Search button icon

27 October 2009 at 10:40pm
Hi guys
I am currently rebuilding the blackcandy theme into a customer version and it's going pretty smoothly. I just want to make some custom alters to the generic search function which is no problems regarding the css and php. My problem is that I can't find the search button graphic so that I can replace it with my own. Any hints where this might be located?
cheers

I'm looking at the default Blackcandy theme and the submit button for the search field is just the default button rendered by the browser so there isn't an image to find.
If you want to have a custom button then do a search for "custom submit button" and you should find everything you need.

thanks for response, Joshua.
did a full search on 'custom submit button' on my hard disk and on the internet. seems like it is hard coded, however I have discovered the xhtml necessary to change the button to anything I like.
Problem now is that i cannot find where to enter the xhtml line that alters the <input> tag. i have opened up everything to do with the search and I only get php stuff. can't seem to figure out how or where they call on the submit function.
if any of the moderators are out there, it would be really cool to find this out as I would most likely implement it on all of my silverstripe sites.
cheers
