Is there a function to delete a post or topics opened by me ( or opened by user )?

No only admin users or moderators can delete posts (as of 0.2 of the forum). In the next release this has been fixed to authors + admin + moderators. If you need this functionality check out forum trunk.

I'm using forum 3.1 and SS 2.4.1 but the ability for forum members to delete posts doesn't seem to be available. In Security, the only option is access_forum.
Have I missed something, or didn't this feature make it into 3.1?

Sorry Bruce B. When I meant next release I meant next major release which will be 1.0.0.
0.3.1 was only released as a security update to 0.3.0 and contained no major API changes or features.
