Migrating from Vanilla to SilverStripe forum?

Hi, we have an existing Vanilla forum and want to move to silverstripe. There was a discussion here around one year ago. Has meanwhile somebody successfully done such migration and might share the experience?

If someone has done it, I would love for them to get in touch with me also (will@silverstripe.com) to include it in the module. Haven't got any time myself to do it, but if you want to tackle this yourself (if no ones done it) I'll be happy to provide tech support.
