Can someone tell me what happened and how to fix this?

I was messing around with my new install, adding modules... one I tried did not seem to work so I deleted the folder. After I did that, my main index page started saying page cannot be found.

When I first installed, mydomain.com would refresh to mydomain.com/home.

Now my domain.com is giving a 404 error, but still carries the them and layout of the rest of the site, just now it does not auto refresh to the /home dir.

Anyone with thoughts or suggestions they can share?
