National symbols being ignored

11 January 2010 at 10:23am
Hi,
I used national symbols (like Ä,Å¡ etc.) in the web site's header and slogan. The source text was entered in Page.php file but after saved and opened again the national specific symbols were corrupted. Surely the same mass appears at explorer. In fact I used a correct coding for fonts in notepad editing Page.php. The unicode UTF-8 coding is set for the whole web page also.
What should I fix to get correct national symbols in files and explorer?
Can anybody help with the subject, please.
Thanks!

Don't think Notepad can handle utf-8 correctly. Grab Notepad++ or some other decent editor, set the encoding to utf-8, enter the text and you should be good.
