Security/User hooks for a Pay Per View video site.

Heya guys,
I am totally new to Silver Stripe. I'm comming over with Drupal as my primary CMS experience. What I want to do is evaluate this CMS and see if it is a viable solution to tie in our Video library. I need to see if I can hook into the login user data and the sessions. Since this is a credit based PPV service I need to be able to link the credit and view tables to the users data ans session information.How would I go about doing this?
Is there a document link?
Also is there a IEC channel devouted to This support?Thanks!
