tf22raptor, I added my working example to this thread: http://www.silverstripe.org/all-other-modules/show/266003?start=0#post283612
I had to jury rig a solution using the .htaccess file to provide a hardcoded URL parameter of SubsiteID based on the HTTP_HOST.
I've seen several instances in which someone s/he got the Subsites module working and accessible from the front end, but I've yet to see a single one of them adequately describe their configuration.

I can not even get too: http://doc.silverstripe.org/modules:subsites to get the installation directions. Is this page down? Does anyone have this info so I can get Multi-sites installed? Thanks!

Hello There,
I seem to have the subsite module working, almost!
Having one major problem in terms of the CMS; the drop down menu for the sites does not actually change the site tree, I select an option and..... nothing happens?
I can log in to the CMS using the sub-domain-url/admin and make edits that way but I cannot switch between domains directly in the CMS using the menu.
Currently running SS 2.4.5, latest github version of module, and its an online server.
Any ideas/clues as to what might be causing this, and how to fix?
