Login problem _config.php not working

Hi,
For some reason my email/password combination is not working for CMS access, so I added a Security::setDefaultAdmin('username', 'password'); to /mysite, however I cannot login using these credentials. I checked the FTP connection and I am definately getting the details uploaded but it's not working.....Any ideas????
