My CMS (I'm using version 2.3.7) has begun acting strange. When I click on a page, the page opens in the editor, but the little arrow circle just spins and spins, even after I save successfully, and the page does update in the live browser, the thing is still spinning in the CMS. Also, the hyperlink icon does nothing. It does not open the side panel to select a link of any kind. The Unlink does remove a link, however, and all of the other icons work. Also, when I open the HTML edit to manually insert a link, the Insert button is not responsive, so I cannot save any changes I make in the HTML editor.

Would anyone know what would cause this, and how to correct it? Thank you.

Speaking of Odd CMS behavior, mine won't even get past the "Silverstripe now loading" screen since installing the latest release (clean install).

Have you made any changes to the code jseth? Specifically, the tinyMCE code?

I don't know enough to make any changes to any of the core code, or the tinyMCE code. I did try to customize the CMS, which worked well. I had done a clean install and version 2.4.0 worked fine on its own - that is, with no additional modules installed. Then I had an issue with a news and events page type/page I had created from tutorial 2, and Willr responded that version 2.4 doesn't use Calendar_Date_Field, just Date_Field, which needed to be changed for the News and Events page to work correctly, which made me wonder how much else needed to be changed that I don't know about (admittedly I didn't read EVERYTHING about the new release). I guess I got spoiled because the last two upgrades went so smoothly.

So... I reinstalled version 2.3.7, and pointed to to my database which I restored from my backup which I did before I tried the upgrade, and I will patiently wait until I have time to play with the new version and not have to go live until everything works. I don't have time to play with it right now.

I'm sorry that all of this doesn't really do much for your question, other than, no, I didn't make any changes to the tinyMCE code.
