    Addthis button hover functionality Link to this post

    Hi there,

    Running a site in 2.3.7 and trying to put the 'addthis' button (www.addthis.com) on to the page template - can see the button fine and the hover works fine in IE8 (floatingwindow appears on hover with the options) but hover doesnt work in firefox and chrome latest versions (floating window doesnt appear). I'm guessing it's a javascript issue but I'm no developer.

    Similar issue with the 'sharethis' button (www.sharethis.com)- button graphic doesnt even appear in firefox/chrome & all works fine in IE8.

    Cheers for any advice

    Try to remove the <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> header from your template(s). Most likely these scripts use the "document.write" method which doesn't work with an XML document.
