Ideas for website idea that isn't just a complex database

Hi, I'm just in my last few years of my degree and have to come up with something that has technical challenges, example he gave was a property crawler. My experience is mainly in the front end but I do know the core OO PHP. I was thinking maybe:
* Mobile Ecommerce
* Something with GEO LocationI'm just asking people genral opinions before I go into researching the topic. Thanks Ben
