Export page as static SS 2.3.2

Hi,
I have a highly modified SSCMS 2.3.2, running X sites on it via Subsite Modul. I need to export a page as static html.
I see that there is a class staticexporter http://doc.silverstripe.org/staticexporter, I see that SS 2.3.2 has that class. Can someone explain how this works?
