Generic Views with translatable DataObjects

Hi,
we want to build a site with many information units in four different languages.
To find the dataobjects I'd like to use generic views, but I can't see how to use the translatable features.Is there any hint to use an other module? Or has somebody adapted generic views for multi-lingual pages?
