I was wondering if anyone on here has ever modified the image gallery module where by the user has control over creating the thumbnail them selves like in this example http://www.webmotionuk.co.uk/jquery/image_upload_crop.php ?

If so is there any trunk builds of the gallery module which have incorportated this functionality?

I'm going to have a go at doing it myself but have little time before my deadline, if anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.
