Image class and Imagemagick

Sirs
Has anyone devised a useCustomClass() or decorator for Image so that one can use Imagemagick instead of GD?
I need to upload a lot of pdf files and make thumbnails from them if possible. Ideally I would also like to make swfs out of them as well (using pdf2swf, swftools or something similar.
