Need understores in URL

Hi,
We're migrating a site to Silverstripe, and have legacy URLs with underscores that must still work - even if they are just redirects to other pages. We'd like to allow non-technical users to manage the entire site via the CMS (ie avoid setting redirects in the server config), is this possible?
