I keep getting the "Error saving content" message when I try to save or save and publish pages that write information to more than one table in the db. I have tried upgrading to the most recent version of SS. I have also checked the permissions of the db user , I am working in dev enviroment and I have firebug which is telling me errorMessage(msg="Error saving content", fullMessage="404//<?xml version="1.0...v>\r\n </body>\r\n</html>\r\n")LeftAn...1440286 (line 490)
msg = "Error saving content"
fullMessage = "404//<?xml version="1.0...v>\r\n </body>\r\n</html>\r\n" but nothing really specific. I have tried redoing each template and rebuilding the db but nothing is working. Any ideas would be great!

Thanks
Denise

I have realised now that this is only happening when I use the HTMLTextEditor option, and feel it must be a permission issue with the server? However I am still not sure where I need to be looking please if you have any ideas let me know

Thanks
Denise

I'm sorry if my query is not related to this field. I am getting an "Error Saving Content" message when trying to overwrite an old file in a particular folder. http://www.soccerphile.com/fifa-rankings

When I try to paste in the new content for a particular month I get this error message.

Yours, Philip

Soccerphile - did you email silverstripe.com? They will simply point you back to the IRC and forum channels as if we answered everyones email personally we wouldn't have time for any actual work!

As for the error saving content - try searching the forum before you post, lots of threads discuss ways to debug this to get more information. If you have firebug (for firefox) you can see the error in your console panel, if you're using webkit then you can see the error in the 'network' tab. If you don't use either firefox or webkit, check your server PHP error log for the actual error message.

I have the same problem every month trying to over-write the file. Even if I try to publish an empty file or a file with one word in it, it still doesn't work. But it only doesn't work in particular folders not the entire site. Maybe it's the alignment of the universe. Observation of the problem seems to be that once you start getting the message "Error saving content" that particular folder of files will never work even if you delete all the contents and start from scratch. It's heart in mouth time whenever you save and publish coz if it the curse comes to that folder, you are doomed.
