Hi folks,

Newbie here :]
I'm successfully running my SS site on the web server and it's great but now when I try to go to my local server on my machine, I keep getting the 'Remote server or file not found' page. I checked the apache error logs and the only thing showing is the

> File does not exist: /media/websites-cms/favicon.ico even though it DOES exist

And also this one > Directory index forbidden by Options directive

This is to do with httpd.conf right? I haven't knowingly changed anything there so don't really know what's going on.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.

Just wondering if you synced your files from your remote server and overwrote your local config?

Hey zenmonkey, thanks for the reply.

I synced everything from my local server to the remote server to get the site online but that's all.

I did rename the partition that SS is on but I made the necessary changes in httpd.conf to reflect the changes.

Also, I can connect to another cms on my local server (on the same partition as SS) but when I try to connect to SS, it can't find the server.

Have you done a dev/build?flush=all to rebuild the manifest. I'm wondering if its trying to access an old cached version. If your _config.php is pointing to the right server and there's no permission issues on any of the directories and files. Also make sure something didn't get changed in .htaccess files.

Beyond that try doing a separate clean install of SS to see if the problem an errant .htaccess file in one of the deeper directories

Thank you zenmonkey! You are truly a zenmonkey :]

I did dev/build?flush=all which fixed it immediately. I thought I was keeping up with those but I mustn't have.

Thanks :]
