2.4.6 + Google Sitemaps

hi,
in the SS 2.4.6 version is no more "googlesitemaps" folder.
and also if I add /sitemap.xml to my domain no sitemaps are there.why they removed this feature? can I use the sitemaps from 2.4.5 or does anybody solved that with an other way?

I copied the googlesitemaps from a 2.4.5 version and it works, but why it was removed?

it is now a module on its own - or the module is no loger distributed with the cms.
