Prevent SS from automatically redirecting to new URL when URL changed.

Hi,
I'd created a couple of 'hidden' static content pages to be used as static content within widgets. I had generic names for those pages like 'Testimonial' and 'Promotion', and somehow got indexed and Google SiteLinks were created.
I then thought I would change the page names/URL to less generic names, not minding if those clicking on the 'SiteLinks' get a 404. But it appears that SS is automatically redirecting from the old URLs to the new ones.
Eg. /testimonial is being redirected automatically to /testimonial-widget-static-content
Is there any way of breaking that automatic redirection please?
