Why does the image orientation change when I upload photos?

2 May 2012 at 6:11am
Hello,
I am new to the forums. I'm looking for some help. I feel as though I have much to learn about SIlver Stripe, how it works and the technology it sits on.
Anyways, when I upload photos through Silver Stripe it changes the orientation inappropriately.See http://www.rexcheck.com/ for examples.

Hey T-Rex,
SilverStripe doesn't change the orientation of uploaded files, to my knowledge.
It will either be your computer, showing you a preview of a picture that's the right orientation, when it's actual orientation is not what you want (it may be showing you a cached, corrected thumbnail) OR your Image Slider that you're using is doing something weird. I know these may sound like ridiculous suggestions, but in my 6/7 years of using SilverStripe I've never seen it rotate images.
Cheers,
Josh
